My English Rose

Hello Everyone!  Are you ready for lots of rosy goodness today?!  The latest offering from Power Poppy is a beautiful set called My English Rose!  I have to admit, I made this card earlier for my son to give to his 'Valentine' - they're 10yrs old!  :)  I've also used an older Power Poppy set called Good Thinking: Love Notes for the sentiment - I had to find something that wasn't to 'mushy or lovey!'  LOL!!  Anyway, I think it passed.  :)

I've used a white base and layered with Cherry Cobbler cut with A2 Divine Eloquence.  Next I've used Labels 28 to cut a piece of patterned paper and attached to the top.  Around this I've added some red ribbon.  I've stamped the rose from My English Rose in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R32, R35, R37, R39, G20, G21, G24, G28, E21).  It's been cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with Cherry Cobbler cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and then popped up on High Tack Foam Tape.  I've stamped the sentiment from Good Thinking: Love Notes, cut it out with Labels 33 and while still in the die, lightly airbrushed it with E51 Copic.  I've popped the sentiment up on foam tape and finished by adding a bow.

Stamps - My English Rose, Love Note (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Cherry Cobbler, DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence, Labels 33, Labels 28, Large Ovals Nestabilities, Copic Airbrush System, Red Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape

You won't want to miss what the Bloomies have for you today, you'll be blown away!!
That's all from me, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

So beautiful Kathy. Red and white is such a timeless combination. Naturally your rose is coloured to perfection and your choice of dies to frame it also. Cheers.

Oh, Kathy, this is gorgeous!! It's stunning especially with your stellar coloring skills, and I love this particular die set. I love how you've used some DP and them popped it all up in layers. And, yes, a very appropriate sentiment for your dear son and his girlfriend - how sweet! I love the luscious ribbon to finish it off perfectly. A truly stunning card, sweet friend! Hugs!
