Rose and Prayers

Hello Everyone!!  It's Power Poppy Friday and I've got a card using the brand new digi stamp that was released this week called Rose and Chamomile!  This new set has the flower and sentiment I've used in my card along with another image of the rose surrounded by chamomile flowers.  Want to see them all?  You can find Rose and Chamomile HERE in the Power Poppy Store!!

I started by colouring the rose in my lunch break at work (I always get funny/curious looks when I colour at work!) using my Copics (G40, G82, G85, G99, E21, RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99).  When I went home I've fussy cut it with a pair of scissors.  The card originally was meant to be a bit simpler, but it just kept morphing with lots of layers!  The base is dusty pink layered with kraft and some maja designs dp.  Across is more kraft layered with Very Vanilla cut with A2 Bracket Borders One topped with some dusty pink ribbon.  The main panel is dusty pink cut with A2 Divine Eloquence topped with an oval of kraft, and an oval of vanilla.  I've cut an oval of pink and then cut it with Basic Lattice and adhered it to the front of the card.  I've popped the Rose from Rose and Chamomile up on X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.  The sentiment has been printed and cut into a notched tag and attached it as shown.  To finish I've added some pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Rose and Chamomile (Power Poppy)

I always colored on my breaks, too. Sometimes I wonder if I got more done that way... Stunning purple creation today, Kathy! Plum gorgeous, I might say. Wow! And love that paper and your creative use of the die cuts. Sheesh, why have I never thought to use the lattice in an oval? So beautiful!

Oh, Kathy, had I been stamping when I was working, I surely would have colored during my lunch breaks! Oh, the dramatic feel to this card is amazing, and I love the rich plum color of your rose and how it just pops off the card like it is real. What a truly stunning layout too! I love it all and am sighing! Hugs, sweet friend, and keep on coloring at work! Hehe!
